Missing the Fourth of July is a horrible thing for a little boy. It's not every day that your parents sanction running around with sticks undergoing a fiery chemical reaction. (I'm talking about sparklers.) I always liked Fourth of July. It is what I think of when I think of summer. Hamburgers, picnics, fireflies, having fun with friends and relatives. It's great.
However, I seem to always be out of the country on the Fourth. Italy, Turkey, Spain, Scotland, Houston... I'm just teasing about Houston. Last summer I celebrated Independence Day in Houston. To point out the obvious, it was a very hot event.
