Happy St. Patrick's Day! They found the end of the rainbow. One time in Scotland, I nearly saw the end of the rainbow. It began in the ocean, and it was quite gorgeous. Yet, I have never found a four leaf clover. Sometimes I think I spy one, but after a closer look, I always discover it only has three leaves.
The boy should notice how lucky he is.

I would be sad, too. It's hard to find four leaf clovers. Nice colors!

I've been reading this book, "Understanding Comics" (you should read it), so I've been looking at the comics again (you have happy, innocent lines!). Anyway, I was thinking that another way of looking at the comic is that the boy knows what true treasure is, which isn't gold, but the fulfillment of childhood wishes. I like the interpretation you provided better, though, that he's so intent on looking for one thing that he misses other better things that are right in front of him.
