#114 Hedge Jumping to Graduation

boydog114 sign: At Rice university it is an unofficial graduation requirement for all students to jump over the hedges in the campus's main quad. During the 2005-2006 academic year, those hedges were cut back to allow for regrowth. B: hop B: neato D: Well that was fairly easy... Four years can go by pretty quickly. A little too quickly for my liking. That's why I'm going to just keep on going to school! Yay for gradschool!

It seems like just the other day when I was a little freshman and I first jumped over a fully grown hedge. It was no easy task (nor a safe one). Many people failed and left the hedges scarred with the mark of their disgraceful failure. Before thee hedges were cut back, there were large holes everywhere in the wall of hedges. I managed to jump it without hurting any shrubbery though.

I guess I learned a lot at Rice University. I mean at the end of this year I easily could step over the stubs that used to be the hedges. What once was challenging has now been made easy. Time to find more hedges to jump.

#113 Why Try?

B: They always point out that there's no i in team. B: But they don't mention the y in try. On a nice sunny day it can be hard to motivate yourself. That seems to be the boy's problem on this day. The boy should probably be working on his homework rather than pondering silly thoughts.

(I hope no one takes his phrase "there's a y in try" to seriously. you should always try your hardest!)
